Privacy Policy

1. Who this applies to

Aftelio is offered for business, trade, and professional use — landscape designers, outdoor living designers, pergola installers, patio/hardscape designers, and design-build studios acting in connection with their business. This policy covers the account holder's data and, where relevant, the project content they upload on behalf of a client.

2. Data we collect

Account data

• Email address
• Authentication and session identifiers (managed by our authentication provider, Supabase)
• Display name, if you choose to set one
• A stable account identifier (UUID)

Project data

• Project identifiers and project names
• Uploaded site or property images
• Generated (AI-assisted) visualization images
• The design instructions you type to request or refine a visualization
• Render versions and which version is currently marked as current

Commercial data

• Plan and subscription status
• Credit balance and credit transaction history
• Billing identifiers necessary to connect your account to Stripe (our payment processor). We do not store your full card details — card processing is handled entirely by Stripe.

Other data

• Feedback you submit to us
• Product analytics, only after you accept analytics cookies — see our Cookie Policy
• Error and performance monitoring data (e.g. crash reports, failed requests), collected via Sentry for service reliability — not gated by analytics consent, since it's operational rather than analytics. We configure Sentry to exclude your design instructions, images, and payment details.

3. Why we process this data

To deliver the service

Create and manage your account, store your projects, generate and edit the visualizations you request, track and apply credits, and provide subscription access.

Payment and legal obligations

Maintain subscription, payment, and accounting records where required by applicable law.

Security and operations

Secure the service, prevent abuse, and diagnose failures.

Analytics (optional)

With your consent, we use PostHog to understand how Aftelio is used, what activates new accounts, and where to improve the product. Analytics is optional and off by default — see our Cookie Policy for how to accept, reject, or change this at any time. It is not strictly necessary for the service to function.

4. Images and AI processing

Aftelio processes the site/project images and text instructions you provide in order to generate the AI-assisted visualization you requested. To fulfil that request, this content may be transmitted to the infrastructure and AI providers involved in producing the output, including our AI orchestration layer and the underlying image-generation model provider it routes to.

We do not claim that these providers never retain content, never use content to improve their models, keep all processing within the EU, or apply zero data retention — we have not independently verified those specifics for every provider in our pipeline. Contact us if you need more detail before uploading sensitive material.

5. Your content and your upload responsibility

You retain whatever rights you already hold in the images and material you upload. You give us only the rights necessary to receive, store, process, transmit to the service providers required to deliver the service, and generate the outputs you request — never rights to use your content for advertising, to train models, to resell it, or any broader license unrelated to delivering the service.

You're responsible for having the right or permission to upload the material you submit — including site and property photographs, customer photographs, and any copyrighted source material — and for not uploading unlawful or infringing content. We don't independently verify ownership of every image you upload.

6. Who we share data with

We use the following categories of service providers to run Aftelio:

• Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage
• Stripe — subscription billing and payment processing
• PostHog — optional, consent-gated product analytics
• Sentry — error monitoring and service reliability, configured to exclude design instructions, images, and payment details
• OpenRouter and the underlying image-generation model provider it routes to — AI-assisted visualization processing
• Vercel — application hosting, once the service is deployed to production

Exact data-processing agreement terms, sub-processor regions, and retention commitments for each provider are being finalized before public launch and are not represented here as verified facts.

7. Retention

Deleting a project removes its rows from our database and its images from storage. We do not yet offer full account deletion — this is called out explicitly in our launch checklist and this policy will be updated once that flow ships. Billing and accounting records are kept as long as applicable law requires. Analytics data (when you've consented) is retained per PostHog's standard retention. We haven't defined fixed retention periods for security/operational logs or backups yet.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or restrict the data we hold about you, to object to certain processing, to receive a portable copy of your data where applicable, and to withdraw analytics consent at any time via Cookie settings. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at hello@terreo.com. If you're in the EU, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority — for Aftelio, that is the Polish Data Protection Authority (Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych, UODO).
